The diagram shows the cycle of perceiving - understanding - planning - realizing. First step is to observe the student and collect information from home and through observations. School works with the student as to understand specific needs and also strengths. The Care Coordinator is instrumental in drawing up a group plan with the teacher, targeting to cluster the group in sets of students that need the same approach. This plan is executed and progress is discussed with the parents.
When more help is needed, the student gets an Individual Education Plan (IEP). At this stage EC2 gets involved in the School Care Team. We do formal assessments, observations or tests and give recommendations.
